Founder & Chairman

Tim is the company’s Founder and Chairman. He launched Aravo in 2000, developing the firm’s initial strategy, financing, product roadmap, and client base. Tim served as Aravo’s CEO from 2000 to 2010, overseeing the firm’s successful evolution from pioneering startup to market leader in the third-party management space.

Prior to Aravo, Tim worked in finance with Goldman Sachs as a member of the Institutional Client Services group in the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities division (FICC). He also serves as Co-Founder and President of Emergent Capital Partners, a Singapore-based private equity platform targeting the Southeast Asian logistics and warehousing market. Emergent manages multiple country-specific investment vehicles with joint venture partners including Blackstone and Goldman Sachs. He started his career working in the nonprofit environmental conservation sector.

Tim holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and a BA in English literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He serves on numerous nonprofit Boards including the Global Institute of Sustainability and the Newport Festivals Foundation.
