Tim Albinson

Founder & Chairman

Tim Albinson is Aravo’s Founder and Chairman. He launched Aravo in 2000, raising capital from leading family offices and institutional investors to fund the business and developing the firm’s initial strategy, product roadmap, and client base. Tim served as Aravo’s CEO from 2000 to 2010, overseeing its growth from pioneering SaaS startup to market leader in third-party risk management.

Following his tenure as CEO, Tim has remained closely involved with Aravo as Chairman of the Aravo Board of Directors. Since 2010, he has also co-founded and built businesses in the private equity, real estate, and investments sectors. Tim began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York, serving as a member of the Institutional Client Services group in the FICC division.

Tim holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He serves on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Global Institute of Sustainability and the Newport Festivals Foundation, producers of the annual Newport Folk and Newport Jazz music festivals.
